When I am on vacation, it takes me a few days to unwind and hang up my mom’s hat. Check out my 10 tips on how to decompress and relax on spring break. 

10 Ways for Amazing Cancer Moms to Decompress on Spring Break

  1. Bring a yoga travel mat for beach yoga or by the pool. Or, set up in your hotel room for privacy.

2. Meditate on the beach listening to the ocean waves.

3. Walk the beach barefoot for grounding.

4. Swim in the ocean.

5. Make a note in your phone of affirmations before you go on vaca. Review each morning and before bedtime

6. Read a book for enjoyment. Leave the cancer books at home.

7. Nap by the pool or the ocean in a lounge chair.

9. Carve family time into your day. Throw the frisbee on the beach with your kids. Play cards by the pool. Laugh. 

10. Live a little! Take a hiatus from your cancer diet. Treat yourself to a mango daiquiri, local food.

The sun, the sand and surrounding yourself with love will make your immune system rebound after a long winter. After last year’s spring break, my white blood cells dramatically increased with my happy immune system.

Surrender to the rhythm of spring break and allow your body to heal.
